like many others back in the Massdrop days, I got distracted with fountain pens – and Massdrop made it easy to get hold of new pens and inks – this, layered onto Fountain Pen Network and Goulet Pens Ink Drop subscription meant it was really easy to go overboard – did you want to explore American pens? European pens? Japanese pens? Chinese pens? – do you like blue inks? ink gall inks? bright inks? subtle inks? shimmering inks? shading inks? – Massdrop changed to Drop and dropped their fountain pen category – Goulet Pens grew large enough that Ink Drop was no longer worth it – and Italix has disappeared – but Ranga Pens is still handmaking custom ebonite pens via Google Forms and email order
