I talked before about my preference of using the French «guillemets» for quotation marks over the more traditional English “quote marks” – and now I’ve seen a few people using the Asian 「corner brackets」 (at least the half-width forms) with English to good effect – I tried them out on a couple posts and … they don’t quite fit my needs – for now, I think I’ll keep (mis)using the «guillemets» – I say «misusing» because properly there should be a narrow-non-breaking-space in between the marks and the « guillemets » but that comes down to familiarity, I’m not used to having space between the quote marks and the text whereas French grew up with that and most likely think my approach is the one that looks weird
