I’m giving up on doing the pixelated thumbnails – it just felt like too much of an affectation – it reduced the file size downloaded for Open Graph cards and RSS feeds, but that was about it – it was an additional file for me to prepare each day (albeit automated) and it took up that little extra space on Codeberg – while I liked the look of the pixelated images, it didn’t really fit in with the overall aesthetic of these notes nor did it actually serve any purpose
