I’ve been using ImageMagick’s -resize to resize images for these
notes, but I’ve been running three separate commands relying on the long side of
the image depending on whether it’s square (1080 pixels), rectangular (1280
pixels) or panoramic (1680 pixels) – going back to ImageMagick’s manual and
found a simpler way to always use one command, -resize also works
with areas – now, I can just resize everything down to 1.2 megapixels and
hopefully give the impression of having made more consistent sizing choices
$ magick <input-file> -resize '1200000@' <output-file>
