yesterday, another rogue instance decided to play around on Mastodon – thanks to the efforts of a couple well known individual instance moderators, things were brought under control and the rogue was defederated from the main stream – but this becomes yet another case where the maintainers of civic peace are the ones being punished, having to put in extra time and work and moderation, while the transgressors get away with little more than reduced reach for their spam
