although I live in the midst of «anything other than metric» land, I’ve been trying to switch my personal life over to metric, Celsius, and 24 hour time – while it’s usually no problems getting computers and electronic gadgets to display saner measurements, anything printed can be hit or miss – if it comes out of Europe or China, it’ll default to metric and (if it’s aimed at the US) it’ll add in awkward imperial conversions – for my personal life, I find I still do rough guesstimates in my head, but that seems to be slowly fading – for work, everything is still in imperial, but I’ve been trying to «decimalize» that as much as possible – decimal inches instead of feet-inches-fractions, keeping increments to 1/20 (0.05"), 1/5 (0.2"), and full inches (much cleaner than trying to write out the decimal equivalent of 16th inch increments
