as with a lot of people, I had been contemplating leaving Facebook – and my arguments against were no different than anyone else «but all my friends» – and then two recent events intruded – Facebook got caught deleting links to Pixelfed and Michael Stipe is promoting «Lights Out Meta», sign out from all Meta products from 19 January to 26 January – this is on top of Meta opting out of fact-checking and Zuckerberg bending-the-knee to Trump
