with our president retaking office, there’s reignited calls for tying religion into politics – despite being both unconstitutional and against our founding fathers’ stated intents – we are dealing with two separate domains – knowledge and science and the natural world on one side, faith and religion and the supernatural on the other – science is not to impinge on the supernatural and religion is not to interfere with the natural world – and these people intentionally ignore that combining church and state is a two-way street – once religion is allowed to interfere in politics, then politics will surely start interfering in religion
