recent flatpak update broke something in Obsidian – aside from the
realization of just how dependent I’ve gotten on using it, I decided to use the
chance to « refactor » my flatpak setup – way-back-when (okay,
only a few months back), when doing some testing, I was having problems with
installing packages with flatpak --user install – rather than
trying to troubleshoot, I just switched over to a --system setup
and installed with doas
I decided to use today’s inconvenience to go back and do things properly –
uninstall all the flatpak packages, remove the remote, add the remote back in
under --user, and reinstall all the apps under --user –
and no sign of whatever was bugging me previously (other than Obsidian still
seems broken) – at this point, I’m willing to wait out a couple updates and
push off deciding on whether to keep futzing with Obsidian or switch to some
other markdown editor
