back in the days of the Apple ][, several of the early hobbyist tech companies got their start, supplying boards and addons and software – one of my favorites at the time was Beagle Bros – I don’t remember actually buying anything from them, but what made them stand out were their ads – a pretty standard list of software for sale along with their mailing address, but buried in every ad was a one-liner (either in BASIC or machine code) that always did something cool
