two minor changes in my setup lately – the first is moving from nano
to micro – micro follows on the same path and adds
several improvements to nano the same way nano
improved on pico – it’s not as lightweight as nano but
it’s also not as obtuse as vi or emacs
the second was moving from calendar to remind –
remind is very much overkill for what I need – rather than using it
for reminders and appointments, I’m using it for keeping track of notable days –
what I did like about calendar wasn’t just being lightweight, but
its inclusion of a series of pre-made calendars related to the history of
computing and OpenBSD (although remind has a better selection of
country calendars)
