one of the biggest whinges against Lua from people who really should know better
is that array indexes start at 1!
– for those not in the know, Lua
doesn’t have arrays, its primary data structure is the table – you can use an
integer key to access elements, but since it’s an integer index key, not a
memory offset, there’s no reason to maintain a hacker shibboleth that is a
1980s joke rooted in erroneous overgeneralizations of C
License terms should start at index 0 just like GPL ↗
