at some point, I was planning on switching the date format for these notes over to barazal – but then I started second-guessing that idea – yes, barazal is nice and orderly, but I find I kinda like the messiness of the Gregorian calendar – the days align with the weeks – the months align with the years – but the weeks don’t align with either the months or years – the years still need additional leap days – the days are named after Germanic gods – some months still retain the Roman numbering that assumed the year started with March – the years are misnumbered from the birth of the Christian Jesus
