recently came across another pundit commenting on the whole fascist Framework/Omarchy/Hyprland mess and arguing for separating art from the artist (even going so far as referencing Roland Barthes’ essay The Death of the Author) – the problem arises is that no artist or author creates in a vacuum – creations do not arrive, like Athena, fully formed from Zeus’ forehead – artists’ and authors’ creations are intimately shaped by who they are and the lives they have lived – maybe not in obvious ways at first, but fascist visions will permeate fascist creations, that’s an inescapable truth – just as using a fascist’s creation constitutes tacit approval of the creator’s ideas (regardless of how many “I got this before …” bumper stickers you slap on it)
