Wall of Voodoo – “Ring of Fire” ↗

I grew up with variations of “save, save early, save often” – even in programs with an autosave feature, manually saving was still a good idea – and so, long ago, I got in the habit of constantly hitting Ctrl-S – but recently, I’ve been watching a series of short videos by OpenWise Learning on using Lazarus (and Free Pascal) and the narrator doesn’t save until the absolute last minute – usually as he’s closing out the video and talking about the next video – for a group ostensibly teaching teenagers to program, they seem really invested in making sure their students experience the disappointment of lost work

(on a separate note, OpenWise Learning also keep their playlists in reverse order – you start at the end and have to keep hitting Previous just before the end of the current video)
