I mentioned I didn’t know why I had an easier time installing Gentoo, and that’s not entirely true – a big part of it was the thorough and well written Gentoo Handbook – for a long time, my forum signature was something along the lines of “I’ll RTFM when you WTFM” – we started with the nice thick physical manuals that came with home computers and game boxes – and then companies started slacking off, the manuals became two-page PDFs shoved into a random folder on the CD, then a link to a sparse webpage, then a link to their Discord channel, and now-a-days the “documentation” is a Markdown file pleading with and begging an LLM – things like the Gentoo Handbook, the Arch Wiki, and the new manual with the Commodore 64U are a breath of fresh air
