several projects are stepping up and posting their policies banning LLM usage and LLM commits – arguably, we’re still in the “early” days, so everyone’s still working out the right wording to minimize the damages and liabilities when slop does make it through the reviews and testing – obviously, I‘m not a lawyer, but I think the policies that will prove the most workable will be the ones that place more discretion in the hands of the project team and keep the policies a little broader, a little more vague – giving the team the option to block something on a sniff test rather than being forced to engage in incessant rules lawyering
