came across an article talking about how climate change is affecting one of (what I see as) the most iconic middle-class American institutions : the summer camp – counselors trained to deal with emergencies and natural disasters, but given no guidance for climate hazards – heat waves, unseasonal storms, wildfires, flooding, algae blooms – and cascading side effects : canceled outdoor activities, canceled days, canceled buses, shuffling schedules, reorganizing transportation, rescheduling daycare
