my reading lately has been pretty much taken up with RSS, Mastodon, Lemmy, and a mix of manga and manhwa (I haven’t really been able to get into manhua though) – notably, regular book reading has pretty much plummeted aside frum extended breaks or vacations – one of the most common themes in manga and manhwa in recent years has been isekai (other world) and the worlds the protagonist get isekaied to are almost always some variation of western fantasy – complete with (what I perceive as) an almost absolute fetish for the layers of aristocracy – rather than deal with socialism versus capitalism, they (mostly) seem to insist on a full regression to an idealized feudal past
