the two main forms of personal publishing online are blogs and digital gardens –
blogs are the digital equivalent of diaries, entries published chronologically,
linking to previous

in a long string – these notes are
yet another entry in that field
in contrast, digital gardens are closer to the commonplace book – collected
knowledge: notes, proverbs, adages, aphorisms, maxims, quotes, letters,
poems, tables, prayers, recipes
– digital gardens are cultivated, organized,
and inter-linked – my current Obsidian vault is closer in form to a garden than
a blog
