and a last quick comment on Akshay’s Plain Text Journaling
– they use
a couple extra symbols for their journals, specifically middot ‘·’ and
multiplication ‘×’ (in addition to ‘-’, ‘o’, and ‘>’) – they make use of
vim’s abbreviations (:iabbrev todo ·) to simplify the process
whereas I just use the Compose key to get the same result:

for ‘×’
