yes, I’m reworking the block of dates up top yet again – the main incentive was just that it was getting a little long – I like the French Republican calendar but I’ve already included rural days in the long form date – anything Roman has become such an affectation of white westerners that it feels a little off including it – and the Mesoamerican calendar was more a matter of figuring out how to do it in the first place
so, for now, it’s down to three lines – a long form, full date – various short form dates condensed to a single line – and a quarter, season, and Julian note to close things out
(this doesn’t mean I won’t still obsess over what separator to use)
