Sightless Scribbles posted about the “disability dongle”, when techbros create some $30K gadget no one asked for to “help” disabled people – as an outsider, my main complaint is the lack of innovation these gadgets show – they’re so focused on the “wheel” part of “wheelchair” that the options invariably end up with some iteration of wheels, tracks, or powered exoskeleton – for $30K (and being useless anyways), I want to see something like a spider mech – not a glorified strandbeast, but a full-on turbo-charged “your doorway is not compliant, I will now widen it for you” Robugtix T8 carrying the person in some sort of palanquin on its back
