the Christian nationalists in the US have been invoking religious scripture to justify the invasion of Iran – they are very much in line with “immanentizing the eschaton” and bringing about Armageddon in their lifetime – and they are doing this in the belief that they are the righteous who will be saved – but to any outsider it is abundantly clear these Christian nationalists wouldn’t be allowed anywhere near heaven – their moral, ethical, and legal failings would drag them down faster than their false beliefs in their God
