currently, I’m using a rather wide but shallow file structure for these notes –
the naming is YYM/DD.html giving me 12 top-level directories for
each year (and I’m already up to 19 directories) – I could relatively easily
narrow and deepen that structure by changing it to YY/M/DD.html
but if I wanted to do a week-based format, I would have to switch everything
over to something like YY/WW/D.html – if I tried to make it any
shallower, I would end up with either 52 top-level directories per year or one
very full top-level directory per year – but the even bigger issue is I would
have to re-date everything rather than just inserting an extra slash in a couple
locations
