since: a) I’m just running a window manager and not a full desktop, and b) I’m using flatpak
for the heavier lifting – I’ve run up against a couple odd limitations that I normally wouldn’t
have to think about – since I’m only installing stuff as I think I need it, I haven’t installed
a proper file manager yet – as with nano
versus a «real» editor, so far relying
on the limited commands in the terminal has been working out just fine – in no small part
because I live in the web browser more than anything else
without a file manager, Librewolf doesn’t present a file dialog for uploading/downloading –
although there’s no guarantee that one would work through the flatpak sandbox either
(earlier testing indicated it didn’t) – I can download files if I set Librewolf to save
to Downloads without asking (or copy-paste the URL into wget
) –
uploading is the bigger issue, but I recently stumbled across (again) copy-paste –
within the browser, if I select «Copy Image», then I can paste it into upload forms
