as I’ve lost interest in reality TV, I’ve found a few lifestyle channels on Youtube that’ve done a pretty good job of filling the gaps – the day-to-day challenges of those who’ve escaped the grind – less stressful, less visibly scripted, more wholesome – a woman guiding her narrowboat through the canals of England while watching nature – a Japanese carpenter making pieces of furniture – a Dutch woman riding the world on her motorcycle – a man tending his cottage (and his chickens) in Scotland – a woman rebuilding her cottage in between through-hikes – the Europeans filming their weekend excursions on trains and Bromptons
