I mentioned before liking Tokyo Style for showing actual lived spaces – in one of Roaming Wild Rosie’s early videos showing her cabin, as the camera traverses the disused interior, I noticed that there was a raised threshold between the rooms and I was interested in trying to find more details (depth, height, installed before or after flooring) – it is becoming exceedingly difficult to find examples of actual, existing, inhabited spaces as opposed to staged interiors meant for the architectural magazines and interior decorators – the algorithm isn’t interested in documentating the world but in the sales brochure – Youtube’s so-called search returns installation videos rather than explanation videos
