I’ve run across more than a few articles railing against the “rainbow soup” of current syntax highlighting and I finally got around to testing out my own variation – the baseline is I run dark mode at home (and light mode at work) and I like the Gruvbox colors – I’ve limited things to four colors : “brightwhite” for the default color, “brightyellow” for keywords, “brightgreen” for strings, and “blue” for comments – additionally, I’ve turned off the vertical indent indicators (based off a Linux kernel style guide comment that if you indent too deep, you’re doing it wrong) – and I have to agree, it does just feel nicer
