in contrast, the younger generations in the US are having to re-discover crafts and traditions on their own – conservatives are only interested in maintaining the regressive attitudes, not the arts, crafts, and traditions that are being lost, those are clearly not worth being kept alive – our older generations were happier abandoning home ec and shop classes rather than implement the even more “controversial” option of balancing things out and requiring the classes for both boys and girls
