a piece of information in the subject line and ending the subject with (EOM)
(end of
message) – what I found more interesting than the «productivity tip» was a quick distraction with
the markers we’ve used to end messages or transmissions – there are the obvious control codes
(specifically 0x03 ETX
“end of text”) but putting control codes in the message of an
email sounds like it would lead to other issues – teleprinter systems used NNNN
to
indicate end of message – -30-
was used by journalists when submitting an article –
copy writers and technical writers used ###

as an end of chapter marker
