once again I’ve been hit with something that “just works” despite my social
media expectations that says it should be far more convoluated – wanted to get
QMK (and qmk_firmware) set up for when I want to update my keyboard’s layout –
qmk-cli is still in Alpine testing and QMK’s curl |
sh script doesn’t want to run under Alpine – so, I followed Alpine’s
instructions for Distrobox – install Distrobox, configure Podman, and … it’s up
and running – enter the container, use QMK’s install script and then build a
test firmware to check if it works – and it does – that was it? what was all the
hubbub about?
